Roanoke City Sheriff Antonio Hash is urging residents to beware of jury duty scams targeting our community. Scammers are calling residents while pretending to represent the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office, falsely claiming that you missed jury duty, have an active warrant, or owe payment. These calls are not real.
✅ Important Reminder:
The Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office will never call asking for money, payment, or personal information over the phone. If you miss jury duty or have a warrant, you will receive an official notice delivered to your residence. All payments or legal matters are handled in court before a judge—never by phone.
If you have questions or concerns:
Sheriff’s Office: 540-853-5347
Detention Center: 540-853-1925
(Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
Protect yourself and your loved ones—beware of jury duty scams, and never give out personal or financial information to anyone claiming to be law enforcement.
