Engaging Young Minds: RSO Promotes Literacy During National Literacy Month

Updated: Apr 11

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday, March is National Literacy Month!  This month, the Sheriff's Office had the privilege of visiting local schools like Lincoln Terrace, Westside, and Monterey Elementary, to share the joy of reading with students of all ages.  We especially tried to ensure that we visited as many schools as possible during Read Across America Week, to share the joy of reading with students of all ages.

It was an incredible opportunity to connect with young minds, spark their imagination, and introduce them to exciting new worlds through the magic of storytelling. We loved seeing the enthusiasm of students as they dove into books!

In addition, what a blast it was attending the Career Fair at Lincoln Terrace Elementary! It was so much fun engaging with students about future opportunities and how they can achieve their dreams.

We’re so proud to be part of these special celebrations of learning and creativity.
